Vitamix 7500 Blender Review

the vitamix 7500 blender model

It’s definitely possible to have a lot of kitchen gadgets. But if you can only have one, it probably should be a blender or a food processor. Or better yet, it could be a machine that combines both of those functions in one unit.

Starting with the Vitamix 7500, the perennial top-of-the-line all-purpose blender, juicer, and food processor and moving on to the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Maker, all four of the blenders we are comparing have the ability to make life in the kitchen easy and interesting.

What Is the Vitamix 7500?

The Vitamix 7500 is a newer Vitamix model that has the high power of other Vitamix models but is somewhat lower priced because it doesn’t have the preset blending settings. The presettings are a popular feature on the more expensive Vitamix models.

Fans of the Vitamix 7500 counter criticism about the lack of presettings by suggesting that they aren’t that important. Regardless of your attitude about presettings, this is a powerful machine capable of blending medium to large batches of food and tackling tough tasks like blending nut butter, crushing ice, and grinding whole grains into flour.

Vitamix 7500

One of the new features in the Vitamix 7500 is a shorter—as in squattier—64-ounce container. This enables the appliance to fit in under-counter cupboards more easily. This shorter, stouter container gets some criticism for its difficulty blending small batches, but smaller containers that have the thinner shape are available to purchase and are handy to have on hand to make small batches.

Product Specs

The Vitamix 7500 has a 1500 watt 2.2. horsepower motor which produces its impressive blending power with its rotating blade speed of 37,000 rpm. It has 10 variable speed controls and pulsing functions. It has laser-cut stainless steel blades.

Ease of Use

This is a hard one to score for the Vitamix 7500. Compared to machines with fewer features, it won’t win a prize for being the easiest to operate. But it is well worth the effort to read the manual, learn what the Vitamix 7500 can do, and then experiment and practice until it is easy!

Conclusion

All four of the models that we reviewed are made by companies with well-established reputations in the blender world. The Vitamix 7500 is one model in a line of blender/food processors that have had the high end of the market cornered for many years. Its primary competitor has been Vitamix itself with its models having different features and different price points. All are expensive, high-quality machines.

The Ninja Ultima Blender, is a powerful unit that has an interesting dual level blade action. The Ninja Ultima Blender has a one-year limited warranty while the Vitamix warranty is seven years and covers parts, labor, and shipping. That in itself tells the story of how the company stands behind its product and clearly expects to be around in the future to continue servicing its equipment.

The Cuisinart Smart Power Duet Blender is a machine that combines both blending and food processing in one compact machine. It is one of a growing number of competing models in this price range. However, the power and features cannot be compared fairly to the Vitamix 7500 or the Ninja Ultima Blender. The Cuisinart model is one of many The Vitamix and Ninja models stand head and shoulders above the Cuisinart.

The Hamilton Beach Personal Blender stands alone in this grouping as unique in its own niche. It can’t be compared in terms of power or features. But it is a good example of a blender that meets the needs of a particular audience. Just like the high-end machines have their fans, this little machine has its enthusiastic supporters.

In terms of comparing it to the Vitamix 7500, there really isn’t anything to say, except that both are good examples of being very good at what they do. The Vitamix 7500 is a powerful machine with excellent features and has an exceptional warranty, but because it is so very good at what it does.
